Metro Mixes is a California producer and DJ with one of the hardest work ethics in the underground scene. Metro Mixes started his DJ career in the late 90s, putting together a handful of Hip Hop mixtapes which were released in local Bay Area underground circles. In the late 2000s, Metro Mixes moved his production space to China, where he moved back to the house, club and electronic dance music scenes. He released "Endless Summer" in 2017 to the Chinese underground dance music scene.

Having moved back to the US, Metro Mixes released "Sankofa" on Hold the Line Records in 2020 and has stepped in as resident DJ, producer and program director for BFN Radio.

Metro Mixes is a master curator, with extensive knowledge in all forms of African American music, including less enjoyed genres, such as country, electronic and classical.

Metro Mixes was chosen as the senior program director and is currently responsible for production and curation on all 25 BFN Radio shows.
